Board of Elders

The role of the Board of Elders is to be the primary governance group of the church, responsible to provide spiritual oversight and to ensure the ongoing health and growth of the church and its ministries. While the day-to-day running of the church is handled by the Senior Minister, the Senior Leadership Team, and the staff, the Board of Elders hold the Senior Minister accountable and give attention to the overall vision, direction and health of the church.

Mark Conner

  Mark Conner (Senior Minister)
Mark has been the Senior Minister of CityLife Church since 1995, and part of the Eldership Team since 1987. As the Senior Minister he is responsible for all aspects of the church vision, including leadership, preaching and teaching, and external relationships. He has a Masters Degree in Theology from Ridley College and a Doctor of Ministry degree through Fuller Theological Seminary. Mark has a genuine love for people and a passion to help them grow and change. Mark is married to Nicole, and they have three young adult children.
Ray Henderson

Ray Henderson (Chairman)
Ray became part of CityLife Church in 2002 and serves in a number of areas including Life Group leadership. Ray has been an elder since 2007 and is currently the Chair of the Board of Elders. He is a business owner whose company provides a range of online and personal services to businesses located in Australia and overseas. Ray is married to Chris; they have three married adult children and 3 grandchildren.
Dan Daniels

Dan Daniels
Dan became part of CityLife Church in 1992. He is a Business Owner, and served as part of the CityLife Board of Directors from 1996 before being appointed to the Board of Elders in 2007. Dan serves on a variety of boards - Alpha, Gloria Jeans Coffee and several other commercial boards. Dan is involved in LifeGroup ministry and as a speaker in Lifetrax. He is married to Alison, with five children, two of whom have graduated from WCC.
Coral Leigh

Coral Leigh
Coral has been at CityLife since 1982 and part of the Eldership team since 2000. She has contributed to many of the church’s ministries over the years and worked as a Counsellor at CityLIfe Community Care for the last 18 years. She is married to Stan and has 3 adult children.
Peter Leigh

Peter Leigh
Peter joined the church in 1982 and has been on the staff since 1993. He has been part of the Eldership team since 1995, and since 2002 has been the Executive Minister of the church. He is married to Linda and together they have three children.
Liz Thong

Liz Thong
Liz became a partner of CityLife Church in 2007. She is currently working in a management role in the Telecommunications IT industry. She serves in a number of ministry areas including LifeGroup leadership and coaching and Activ8 India support team. Liz is married to Cheno and they have a daughter Mischa.
Deepak Bhatia

Deepak Bhatia
Deepak has been a part of CityLife Church since he migrated into the country in 2003. He is self-employed and holds two franchises in the retail industry. He has been actively involved as a LifeGroup leader, Coach and Venue Manager since he moved to CityLife Manningham in 2008. He is married to Asha and has three children and a granddaughter.
Michael Loke

Michael Loke
Michael, a chartered engineer, has worked for multinational companies in the UK, US, Malaysia and Australia. He lectures part-time at Harvest Bible College, Melbourne where he earned a MA in Ministry and ministers regularly abroad. Michael serves on the International Board for Bartimaeus Project, sponsored by Inter-Mission of Switzerland, ministering among beggars in the slums of India. He is a LifeGroup coach and facilitator of The Marriage Course. Michael is married to Gwen and has 2 sons, Joshua and Daniel.
Andrea Stickland

Andrea Stickland
Andrea has been part of CityLife Church since 2002. She has a Law Degree (Hons) from the University of London and has worked in the legal and corporate governance area for over 10 years. Andrea is currently working part-time being responsible for legal and finance matters in a number of businesses run by her husband. She has served for many years on the Worship Team and is currently involved in Roar. Andrea is married to Ben and they have two small children.
Markus Richardson

Markus Richardson
Markus & Virginia have been attending CityLife since 2005 and have been involved in a number of volunteer ministries. For 25 years Markus served in full time ministry in Sydney, outback NSW and Melbourne. He has degrees in psychology, theology and a Doctorate in Missional Leadership. Markus is passionate about the Kingdom of God being realised in everyday life. He currently runs a small business in house building & maintenance and loves to build and fix things.
Peter Green

Peter Green
Peter has been a part of CityLife for over 40 years and has served in many areas of the church. He is currently serving in ROAR as a team leader in 456s, plays cello as part of Artworx and volunteers at Southern Cross Kids’ Camps. Peter has degrees in veterinary science and psychology and runs his own veterinary practice. He is married to Liz and they have three children, Joshua, Benjamin and Gabrielle.
