How much will it cost?
 
Dinner.... This introductory dinner explains the alpha course and what to expect from it. ...$10
Course... This subsidised fee will cover the cost of a delightful meal and a creche service (if required). Amount is payable each meeting. ....$5
Manual... Your own personal manual to keep. Payable upon commencement of the course. ....$5
Weekend
Away....		 ...$100-125Covers the cost of a weekend away. Including meals & accomodation. Final price is determined by the venue selected & confirmed by commencement of the course.
Note: Financial assistance can be applied for, if required.

Alpha Logo The Alpha Course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed, non-threatening manner over Nine thought provoking weekly sessions.
 
What’s the ALPHA course?
The Alpha course consists of a series of talks looking at topics such as “Who is Jesus?”, “Why and how do I pray?” and “Does God heal today?” There is a meal together at the beginning of each session which gives you an opportunity to get to know each other. After each talk we divide into small groups for a time of discussion. Listen, learn, discuss, discover and ask anything. Alpha is the place where no question is too simple or too hostile. A place to explore the Christian Faith.

  • Those who feel they have never really got going as a Christian.
  • Those who want to brush-up on the basics.
When and Where?
The course is run on Monday evenings. The course starts with a delightful dinner, followed by a video presentation which leads into small group discussions. The Alpha course is run at CityLife Church for a duration of nine weeks. Part of the course includes a weekend away.
  What’s involved?
There is a series of talks looking at such topics as:-
  • Who is Jesus?
  • Why did Jesus die?
  • Why and how should I read the Bible?
  • Why and how should I pray?
  • What about the Holy Spirit?
  • How does God guide us?
  • How can I overcome evil?
  • Why and how should I tell others?
  • Does God heal today?
  • What about the church?
After each talk there is time in smaller groups for everyone to discuss any issues or questions they have, giving them opportunity to get to know each other and learn together.

Introductory Dinner

ALPHA course

Discover what the course is about at the Introductory Dinner. It starts at 7pm and costs only $10.00. This will help you decide if you wish to proceed to the course. No one will try to coerce or cajole you into anything – it is your choice, your decision.

The evening will be relaxed, informative, giving you a complete overview of the course topics covered and format.

The Alpha Introductory Dinner is a great opportunity to come and hear about the Alpha Course, enjoy a relaxed 3 course meal in a non-threatening environment and get to know each other.
